We decided that if we were going to breed the cats, we would search to find the highest quality, most beautiful and best tampered cats we could.  We found a sweet video of Thula, a Maine Coon cat who was a therapy cat for a little girl  with autism. That was such an amazing story and touched my heart with my background as a pediatric nurse.  Many cats wouldn't have the calm temperament needed for this. That's when we decided Maine Coons were the kittens for us. We searched many catteries to find the wild feral European look and that had BIG cats.
